 everything was great except for the wand Sep 28, 2011

My 6 1/2 year old daughter was very excited to get her butterfly fairy costume. The tutu and wings are of really nice quality. However, the wand we received wasn't. The wand's stem is pink string looped around a wooden stem but for some reason the string at the top started to unravel and the butterfly on the wand started to flopped down and wouldn't stay on. Also the butterfly has eyes and one of the eyes fell off. I'm not sure if it's the quality of the product or the UPS handling of the box b/c the box we received looked really beaten up. Also, my daughter's height is slightly taller than average and the tutu just fit her perfectly. Next year, however, it would look too short on her. Ages 2-6 would fit perfectly in this costume.

The items fit my 5 year old well. My major complaint would be the wand, it fell apart the first time my daughter went to use it. The wand seperated from the little butterfly which caused the ribbon to unwrap, it was close to halloween so I didn't have time to return it and a little hot glue fixed it right up however I was disappointed with its durability or lack there of.

I am so pleased with this outfit. My 2 year old daughter wanted to be a fairy for her party and I was a little hesitant about ordering online. She is very thin but this worked perfect. The skirt is very stretchy so it would fit bigger than a two year old but it help up great on her. The wings are smaller than I expected. We saw larger ones at dollar tree. But these are well made and the perfect size for my daughter. The whole outfit was better quality than most halloween costumes you see so we are very happy. If your wanting a fairy outfit this is the one!

I received this today and I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. This will be a Christmas gift for my daughter and I'm sure she will love it, but what I received is not what the picture shows. The tutu I got is light pink with a hot pink flower. The head band thing is made of fabric flowers and straws. The picture does not show the straws, so I assumed it was just a bunch of flowers. Also, the wand is supposed to have a butterfly attached, but when I pulled the wand out of the package, the butterfly was not attached and laying in the bottom of the package. I will have to glue it in, but not sure if I will even do that because the part that attaches looks like a toothpick. It is still a very cute item and I'm sure my daughter will love it, it just wasn't what I was expecting.

The wand fell apart immediately. It is a stick with a ribbon wrapped around it, and they put no adhesive on the ribbon at all so it came unraveled during the first use. The halo is adorable but I don't like the quality of the "ribbons" hanging from it. It's cheap gift-wrapping ribbon. Very disappointed in that too.
I like the skirt, but since I'm already annoyed with this purchase I might as well go ahead and mention that the 2 arm loops onthe wings were of considerably different sizes, making the wings sit permanently crooked. I have fixed that myself, but I hate having to alter products just to make them function right.
