Worked great, but I messed it up Jun 19, 2010
By Madguyy I must admit this is my first time using a pencil torch, or a torch of any kind I think. I got it to make SMD soldering/desoldering easier, and figured this looked like a good set.
When I first tried it, it worked beautifully. It has a nice pointy blue flame when using the torch bit. Didn't get to use the attachments before I broke it, so I don't know how those'll work. Also, no idea how long the burn time is, but I believe you don't want to overfill it. I think what happened in my case was I put too much in, and the internal pressure was too much for the valve and it was pushing it shut. I figured I'd push it in with something narrow, like a thumbtack. Well, I punched a hole in it. It doesn't function as a torch anymore, but it can produce a big burst of flame. Lesson learned, however if internal pressure was indeed the problem I was having before the hole, then that's a bad design flaw. Being a beginner I'm not positive, though. Also, the torch tip doesn't fit on the nozzle snugly at first, so you may have to squeeze the end a little bit for it to fit.
Overall, I'd say it's a decent product, though I only used it for a moment. If you've never used a pencil torch or anything of the like, I'd recommend getting one of the cheaper ones first.

It broke the second time I Used it Dec 01, 2010
By pencil torch I worked wonderfully the first time, couple of days later I tried using it again and it wouldn't work. Now it just shoots a big yellow flame that is very dangerous if you use it inside. Stay away from this product. I doesn't work.

BROKE DURING FIRST USE Nov 24, 2010
By R. Jackiewicz When using it for the first time it wouldn't hold a flame and then while tryng to get it to stay lit, it flared up and never worked again. Bad product!

Product broke after one use. Oct 19, 2010
By Ryan Ravary This product came defective and promptly broke in full after one use. I would not recommend buying this. The fuel chamber sounds to be leaking and I never even filled it up! Overall a waste of money, the attachments hardly fit. It needs to be lit, which is inconvenient but not that big of a deal. Save yourself the hassle and buy a legit torch. This cheap alternative will only disappoint.
stay away from this product May 21, 2011
By vitixn Stay away from this torch, not only is it cheaply made but it is also just plain dangerous. Like others I also only got one use of the torch before it broke. Right out of the package the attachments fit very loose, even after crimping them to a tight fit the tip fell off during use and left a good burn mark in the carpet.
