daughter loves it! Jan 10, 2011

Cute tutu skirt, nothing fancy. Quality seems ok. A bit overpriced in my opinion, specially if you have to pay for shipping. I probably wouldn't buy if I saw it in person first.
Overpriced Nov 23, 2011
By Sydney My 8-year-old daughter likes to wear a tutu almost every day if possible, and she has some tutus that I've washed over and over that endure the test of time. Obviously with tulle, there will be some pilling on the edges and snags will occur regardless of how well-made it is. However, this tulle is too soft to be even remotely durable.
The waistband is covered with the satiny material, but it's really a super thin elastic strip underneath. We like wide waistbands on her tutus because having more elastic makes it stay in place and not ride up. This one is so flimsy, it rides up on her constantly.
If I didn't have tutus that were also 3 layers of tulle that have been in use and still look great after over a year's worth of hard wearing, maybe I'd be more happy with this one. I feel like this tutu should sell for about half of its current price, since it was worn only 3-4 times before getting on my "I hate this garment!" list. If it only cost that much, I probably would look at the problems I have with it and say "eh, it was still worth it."
My daughter still likes it, because it's a tutu, but it's always her last-resort one to wear, which is unfortunate becuase the color is bright and exciting. The tutus we have that are more durable cost only around 25% more than this item, but the quality gap is way larger than the price gap.
